Josh Pullen has proudly called Hesperia home for over 34 years. With a deep sense of responsibility and service to his community, he is running for a seat on the Hesperia City Council to ensure a brighter future for all residents. His candidacy is rooted in over two decades of public service, a wealth of leadership experience, and a passion for the people of Hesperia.
Josh’s journey in public service began in 1996 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Stationed at Altus Air Force Base and Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, Josh served his country with distinction, learning the values of discipline, teamwork, and dedication. His time in the military shaped his sense of duty and solidified his commitment to serving others.
After his military service, Josh turned to firefighting—a calling that has allowed him to protect and serve his community directly. Since 2006, he has been a Firefighter/Paramedic with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, rising through the ranks to his current position as the Division Chief of Administration for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District. In this role, Josh oversees vital administrative operations, ensuring the Fire District runs efficiently and effectively to protect lives and property. His deep knowledge of public safety, emergency response, and organizational management make him a trusted leader in the department.
Josh’s commitment to public service is mirrored in his personal life. He has been married to his wife Amy for 27 years. Amy, a registered nurse, is also dedicated to serving the community, working on the frontlines of healthcare. Together, they have raised two children, Caleb (22) and Kalee (21), both of whom are pursuing their college degrees. Josh and Amy instilled in their children the same values of hard work, service, and community involvement that have guided their lives.
Josh understands the challenges facing families in Hesperia—whether it’s rising costs, access to public services, or concerns about public safety. His goal is to create a city where families can thrive, local businesses can grow, and residents can feel secure.
Josh is a staunch supporter of public safety and recognizes the essential role that law enforcement and firefighters play in keeping Hesperia safe. He will continue to advocate for investments in public safety infrastructure, ensuring that police officers, firefighters, and paramedics have the tools and resources they need to protect the city. His experience within the Fire Department gives him unique insights into the challenges faced by first responders, and he is committed to supporting policies that strengthen Hesperia’s safety net.
Josh Pullen’s campaign is built on transparency, accountability, and a strong desire to make Hesperia a city of opportunity. He’s ready to tackle the issues that matter most to residents—from enhancing economic development and job creation to ensuring a safe and welcoming community for all.
