His time in the military shaped his sense of duty and solidified his commitment to serving others.

After his military service, Josh turned to firefighting—a calling that has allowed him to protect and serve his community directly. Since 2006, he has been a Firefighter/Paramedic with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, rising through the ranks to his current position as the Division Chief of Administration for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District. His deep knowledge of public safety, emergency response, and organizational management make him a trusted leader in the department.

Josh’s commitment to public service is mirrored in his personal life. He has been married to his wife Amy for 27 years. Amy, a registered nurse, is also dedicated to serving the community, working on the frontlines of healthcare. Together, they have raised two children, Caleb (22) and Kalee (21), both of whom are pursuing their college degrees. Josh and Amy instilled in their children the same values of hard work, service, and community involvement that have guided their lives.
